A new trend has caught on with British travelers. Pilots have reported hundreds of incidents where they have been blinded by powerful laser pointers while landing their planes. While it is common to feel boredom while waiting to board your flight at the gate, it isn't normal to blind pilots landing their planes, which, by the way, are full of people, to pass the time. Landing is one of the most critical moments in the flight, and some pilots have had to hand the controls over to their co-pilots due to temporary blindness caused by the laser pointers.
When you are raised with stories of your kings and queens beheading jesters and playwrights solely for amusement, this behavior is hardly surprising. Sending British children abroad for proper schooling where they are not subject to asinine propaganda would fix the problem. The trend of arrogance must be broken, and this laser pointer nonsense warns that sooner, rather than later, is best.
